22/02/2010 GO-AHEAD FOR UNCERTIFIED SEEDS IN THE OFFING OPPOSITION BY FLOUR MILLS AND PASTA-MAKERS: QUALITY AT RISK The permanent agriculture technical committee of the State-Regions Conference has voted in favour of eliminating the obligation to use certified seeds. Alarm by Assosementi is echoed by Ivano Vacondio (former President of Italmopa-Confindustria) and Giuseppe Amato, a leading exponent of the pasta industry. "Quality will become more difficult but there is no risk as regards food safety, which is absolutely guaranteed," said Vacondio. Amato re-launches integrated projects in the value chain: "An agreement with Confagricoltura going back two years has seen more than 15 thousand tonnes of durum wheat processed. The objective of quality has inspired the work of Mipaaf for many years and we hope that the obligation to used certified seeds will remain." These themes will be analysed at Siab with sector experts. |

25/06/2009 AGREEMENT BETWEEN SIAB AND FIPPA TO RE-LAUNCH BAKERY AND RELATED FIELDS OPERATIVE PARTNERSHIP SIGNED UNTIL 2019 After the acquisition of the Siab brand by VeronaFiere that thus become the sole shareholder of Promopan (the company organising the exhibition), a new collaboration agreement has been signed with the Italian Federation of Bakers, Bakers-Confectioners and Related Trades to promote the international role of the exhibition as well as a series of national events dedicated to the sector.
