The SIAB 2010 event sees the Italian Bakery Federation\Siab Hall host Richemont Club Italia and the FIPPA Federal Technical Team proudly present the Siab Bakery Award.

The Siab Bakery Award is a competitive event involving bakers characterised by innovative contents compared to similar international competitions.
Originality is especially achieved thanks to the “Bread for the World” category that has the primary purpose of stimulating products of excellence using "poor" ingredients readily available even in disadvantaged countries.
Richemont Club and the Italian Bakery Federation with this competition also aim to promote the values of bread through recognition of the professionalism and commitment of individual bakers taking part in a team.
Nine teams have already entered the event: Algeria, Mali, Morocco, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Croatia and, naturally, Italy.
Every team will comprise a baker no more than 40 years old and another no more than 25 years old.
Over and above “Bread for the World”, the regulations envisage that candidates propose different types of bread ("ciabatta" soft aerated bread, a typical bread of the countries of origin of the teams taking part in the competition and a buffet bread), savoury products (a Margherita pizza and another pizza with a free choice of toppings), 4 different types of Vienneserie, of which 2 with risen flaky pastry and two with sugared risen pastry, and, lastly, an artistic item. The theme of artistic items is at the choice of candidates but shall in any case recall the national identity of their countries of origin.
